Major partnership with Giesecke+Devrient
Our journey with Giesecke+Devrient (G+D), one of Germany’s leading providers of currency technology and secure document solutions, began in 2006 when we entered into a partnership on a Macedonian project.
Acquisition – Veridos minority stakeholder
Building on a decade of successful cooperation with G+D, Netset became a strategic partner of Veridos in 2017. Veridos, founded as a subsidiary of G+D specializing in secure document solutions, further integrated Netset’s expertise and capabilities into its international mission.
Acquisition – Veridos majority stakeholder
The relationship between Netset and Veridos continued to strengthen, and in January 2023, Veridos became the majority stakeholder in Netset, marking a key milestone in our evolution.
Acquisition – Veridos 100% stakeholder
In 2025, we embraced a new identity: Netset became Veridos Netset, reflecting our full integration into the Veridos group and the broader G+D family.
The Story of Netset
The story of Netset began in 1999 in the field of finance and banking. In the early days, Netset team was a close-knit group of people, that cultivated its distinctive family-like culture.
Shortly after its foundation, the company repositioned its target market to identity management solutions.
Netset’s expertise quickly stood out, leading to a significant turning point, the first national ID contract with MOI Serbia.
The success of the local projects led to a major partnership with Giesecke+Devrient resulting in the first joint regional project – the Macedonian eID. As new projects emerged, the Netset team expanded to over 30 people.
The year 2014 brought a major infrastructure project, the NID system for 40+ million citizens of Iraq.
A year later saw the foundation of Veridos, a joint venture between G+D and Bundesdruckerei, and a new strategic partner of Netset.
The new partnership brought further expansion on the global ID market, as well as many awards and recognition. Fueling further growth of Netset, all while nurturing its distinctive culture and atmosphere.
All roads led to a new chapter in the company’s development, with Veridos becoming the majority stakeholder of Netset.
The year 2025 marks a defining milestone in our journey, as we move forward together as One Veridos.

Compliance and Integrity
Responsible governance, legal compliance and integrity are the foundation of what we do. Our Veridos Code of Conduct serves as a point of reference for legally compliant and correct conduct in everyday work. Our Group-wide Compliance Management System (CMS) helps us to comply with laws, identify risks and problems, and look into legal breaches. Concerns can also be reported anonymously via our whistleblowing tool. Our goal is for Veridos Netset to remain a trusted company, and to strengthen it in this position. Responsible management as well as the integrity of all employees play a crucial role in this.
