Five Passport Types. One Integrated System for the UAE
Modernizing passport issuance through a tailored, integrated approach to security and efficiency.
The United Arab Emirates is modernizing its ePassport issuance system to strengthen document security, streamline administrative processes, and support the country's wider digital transformation. The project aims to replace the existing passport issuance infrastructure with a modern, integrated solution tailored to the UAE's specific requirements.
One integrated ecosystem, tailored to national needs
At the heart of the project is the integration of passport issuance processes into a single, unified ecosystem. Developed using an agile approach, the solution brings together existing local systems and individual production facilities through custom-built software designed to meet the country's operational requirements.
The system is developed entirely in Arabic, ensuring accessibility for local operators and seamless integration into existing administrative workflows.
Five passport types. One tailored solution.
The UAE issues five distinct types of passports: regular passports, special passports for the royal family and senior officials, diplomatic passports, temporary passports, and emergency passports for citizens whose documents have been lost or expired while abroad.
Managing these different document categories requires a flexible and carefully coordinated issuance infrastructure. The solution is designed to accommodate these requirements while supporting efficient processing and reliable document management.
Developed specifically for the UAE, the project reflects Veridos Netset's expertise in creating tailored identity management systems that address complex national requirements and support long-term digital transformation.
